翻訳家・絵本研究家の故 山本まつよさんが惹かれ続けた、フィリピンの美しい布や手仕事。

その想いを今に引き継ぐ青木祥子さんが営む「Nayon（ナヨン）」より、選りすぐりの布や籠が大和屋に届きます。

7000を超える島々からなる“東洋の真珠”フィリピン。

多彩な手織りの布から作られた花緒や巾着、ブックカバー、ビーズアクセサリーのほか、籠やブランケットなども展示販売いたします。

布好きにはたまらない小さな旅。

Nayon Exhibition at Yamatoya Geta Shop

~ Fabrics and Crafts from the Philippines ~

We’re delighted to host an exhibition by Nayon, a shop founded by the late translator and picture book researcher Matsuyo Yamamoto, who was captivated by the beauty of Filipino handmade textiles and crafts.

Now run by Shoko Aoki, Nayon continues to share the warmth of Philippine craftsmanship.

Known as “The Pearl of the Orient,” the Philippines is home to over 7,000 islands — and an incredible variety of fabrics and baskets.

This exhibition will feature handwoven fabrics made into hanao (kimono sandal straps), pouches, book covers, beaded accessories, and more.

A must-see for textile lovers — come and feel the gentle spirit of island handcrafts.
